Coaching is different from therapy in that therapy focuses on mental health and wellness, coaching focuses on setting and achieving goals. Although the two are not mutually exclusive and goals are also set in therapy, the focus is on the emotional impact on an individual. With coaching the focus is on the end result, what is stopping progress and how to achieve the bottom line. Having a professional or personal coach that understands the difference between coaching and mental wellness is critical.
